The Telegraph and Argus is reporting here on plans by WYMetro for reopening Apperley Bridge railway station. Meetings were held on the 15th and 16th May 2009 at Woodhouse Grove School near the site of the former station. The station will be located on the Airedale line, whilst the other planned station Kirkstall Forge will serve both Airedale and the Wharfedale lines.

The Yorkshire Post is running a petition here to ensure Leeds is included in any new high speed rail link. The paper has a full section dedicated to High Speed here.
Even WY Metro is supporting the campaign here.
We would like to see any proposed service include Forster Square and Skipton
